A little about me...

I'm a landscape photographer, living in the South West of the UK. I love the process of being in incredible scenery, finding and playing with different compositions before taking the shot. I love finding a great location, waiting for the right light, watching the light change with the setting (or rising) sun, playing hide and seek with the clouds. I also enjoy random photos of whatever catches my eye. 

I've been interested in photography since childhood but it was only in my early 20s that I began to really explore it. I found photography adding a real dimension to holidays until it became the dominant factor. I've been lucky to have friends who have thought along similar lines and that has been great to have people to bounce ideas off, share successes, and laugh at those gambles that didn't pay off.

Most of the photographs on this site have been post processed to some extent. I think this is an important part of the artistic process. Sometimes I use minor tweaks to make the image more accurately reflect what my eye saw. Other times I will be after a specific effect. And it is always fun to experiment. And there is always more to learn.  None of the photos fall into what I would call digital art - wholescale changes, swapping skies that sort of thing.

I make no claims of mastery, but I do hope you enjoy my work.
